Friction Machine (2020-present)

Procedural interactive narrative games exploring choice and consequence in the workplace. Practice psychological safety, bystander intervention, and realistic optimism in tough situations.

An offshoot of my work at Toronto Metropolitan University’s IN.Lab on choice-based games for ethical decision-making in the workplace. Developed during the Feb Fatale game jam 2020 at Dames Making Games (DMG).

Toronto Arts Council Animating Historic Sites Grant Project. Research report on current practices in animating historic sites using creative interactive installations focused on augmented reality and sonic wayfinding. Includes a detailed concept for animating the Evergreen Brickworks using the theme of watercraft on the Don River. Images from the Toronto Archives.

Townsend: Designed with you in mind (2005)

Experimental narrationless documentary, sound map, and installation about a failed land planning initiative for Townsend, Ontario, a city that was never built, and the impact it had over a 30 year period on farming families in Haldiman-Norforlk County. Curated as part of Dubious Views: Questioning Institutional Representations in Tourism and Cartography, by Year 01 for Virtual Museum Canada. Collaboration with Laura Cunningham and Stefan A.
